Calciboost Liquid
Regular price $12.60 Save $-12.60Calcium deficiencies can lead to egg binding, feather plucking, increased nervousness and death. Calciboost provides the needed calcium, Magnesium and D3 in an easily absorbed form.
Application: In water (10-20 mls per liter) or on soft-food 0.1-0.2 mls per 100g bodyweight. Use the lower doses in hard water areas.
Active ingredients: Magnesium, Vitamin D3, Calcium.
Calciboost is used for feather plucking along with 2 other items, Feather Up and Potent Brew. With these 3 items we can stop the feather plucking and start seeing results in 3 to 4 weeks. Feather picking and other similar forms of self mutilation are major problems. Although most have nutritional problems as their origin there are some medical conditions that can be implicated so veterinary testing may be required. The most common cause of self mutilation appears to be calcium deficiency. This is why we use the Calciboost. As research tells us that 98% of pet birds are getting less than the recommended levels of calcium in their diet it is actually surprising that there is not more cases of this distressing condition. You have to stop and think, you do not see birds in the wild flying around with no feathers. Why, because they can get the high calcium foods that they need.
Calcium is involved in both nerve and muscle function. Calcium deficient birds often show nervous behavior such as fear, aggression and self mutilation. So for the most important recommendation is to add Calciboost to the diet. The important thing about Calciboost is that the calcium it contains is very easily absorbed from the gut into the blood stream.
We have the 3 products that we use to stop feather plucking and we have a 99% success rate with these. It is very important that you give them these 3 products 5 days out of 7 for a total of 4 weeks, after that you should keep them on this for 2 days a week for the rest of the life of the bird so that this does not happen again. In a very few cases have we had to give it for 5 days a week for 8 weeks. The one most important thing is to see that the bird consumes the Calciboost that is given.
Calciboost
Normal dose rates for Calciboost are as follows
Parakeets 2 drops Cockatiels 4 drops African Greys 15 drops Large Macaws 30 drops
Feather Up
Parakeets small Pinch Cockatiels small pinch African Greys 2 pinches Macaws 4-5 pinches
Potent Brew
Parakeet 2 drops Cockatiel 4 drops African Greys 15 drops Cockatoos 10-20 drops Macaws 30 drops
Increase the Calcium intake with Calciboost for your breeder birds
During non-breeding seasons, Calciboost should be administered 1-2 times per week. How ever during breeding season, it is essential to increase the Calciboost dosage to 3-5 times a week for 4 weeks to provide the extra calcium needed for egg laying and chick growth. Remember a lack of calcium can cause thin shelled eggs, egg binding, smaller clutch size, poor bone formation and splay legs in chicks. If egg binding occurs put a few drops of Calciboost in the beak and put the bird under heat, the egg should pass in a few hours.
Birds can also loose balance do to the lack of calcium. Again this is why we use the Calciboost. You should start the bird on the Calciboost 5 days a week for 4 weeks, this should get the calcium level up in the bird and you should start seeing a difference. Many people seem to think that giving a cuttlebone is enough calcium, it is not, we find using the liquid calcium absorbs quickly into the system. Every bird should be on Calciboost. Using one of our Daily Essential vitamins, Calciboost, and Saniclens in the water you will be giving the daily supplements needed for a healthy bird.

GrubFuel contains one simple ingredient: dried black soldier fly larvae (Hermetia illucens). These shelf-stable grubs provide naturally occurring protein, calcium, fat and amino acids while encouraging chickens to scratch, peck and forage.
Buff Clucks states that its larvae are sustainably raised in the USA without added hormones, antibiotics, pesticides, fillers or preservatives.

Black soldier fly larvae are an efficient insect-protein source requiring fewer resources than many conventional proteins.
No more than 10% of the daily diet
GrubFuel is a treat or supplemental protein source—not a complete poultry feed. At least 90% of the flock’s diet should remain an age-appropriate, nutritionally complete poultry ration.

Buff Clucks ChickStrong Herbal Support for Baby Chicks
Regular price $19.99 Save $-19.99A gentle seven-herb blend developed specifically for baby chicks and designed to mix evenly into complete starter or grower feed.
ChickStrong uses calendula, thyme, Greek oregano, nettle leaf, lemon balm, blue malva and rose petals in a fine-cut blend sized for small beaks. Buff Clucks created the formula for use from day one through approximately the first eight weeks and the transition to the coop.
It is a supplemental botanical blend—not a complete feed. A properly formulated chick starter or grower ration must remain the foundation of the diet.
Seven herbs are cut into smaller pieces to distribute through crumble feed and accommodate developing chicks.
Designed for the brooder period when chicks are adapting to new surroundings and rapidly growing.
The herbal blend is intended to complement a complete starter diet and support normal digestive wellness.
Supports overall wellness while complete starter feed supplies the protein, vitamins and minerals required for growth.
1 full ChickStrong bag
Mix into 15–20 lb of complete chick starter or grower feed.
Complete starter supplies carefully balanced energy, protein, amino acids, vitamins and minerals. ChickStrong does not replace those nutrients.
Keep clean water available continuously in chick-safe waterers and prevent wet bedding around the brooder.
Ask your poultry professional whether appropriately sized chick grit is needed when feeding herbs or other foods in addition to complete formulated starter.
Buff Clucks recommends ChickStrong during the first eight weeks, followed by its regular all-flock herb supplement after the move to the coop.
Provide an appropriate heat source and enough room for chicks to move closer or farther away based on comfort.
Remove wet or soiled bedding promptly and maintain ventilation without chilling drafts.
Prevent manure and bedding contamination and clean equipment regularly.
Check activity, posture, appetite, drinking, droppings, breathing and vent cleanliness every day.
Verify and enter the net weight printed on your physical ChickStrong pouch. The manufacturer’s accessible product text does not currently state the net weight.
Reseal after opening and store in a cool, dry location away from moisture, heat, direct sunlight, pests, children and household pets. Follow the package’s shelf-life instructions.
Mix one complete ChickStrong bag thoroughly into 15–20 lb of age-appropriate complete chick starter or grower feed. Do not exceed the package directions.
Buff Clucks states that ChickStrong was formulated for use from day one. Complete chick starter must remain the primary diet, and the product should be mixed at the labeled ratio.
No. ChickStrong is a supplemental herb blend. Chicks require nutritionally complete starter or grower feed appropriate for their age and species.
Buff Clucks recommends ChickStrong through roughly the first eight weeks and the brooder-to-coop transition, then its regular herb supplement for older birds.
No. It is not a medication or vaccine. Chicks with lethargy, huddling, blood in droppings, diarrhea, poor appetite, breathing difficulty or rapid decline require prompt veterinary guidance.
The manufacturer mentions this as an optional use, but fine plant material can add dust to a chick’s environment. Prioritize clean, dry, low-dust bedding and good ventilation, and follow the physical package directions.

Buff Clucks WormStop Natural Dewormer for Chickens
Regular price $29.99 Save $-29.99Make monthly flock care easy with a measured seven-day herbal routine that mixes directly into dry feed, wet feed or a favorite treat.
Buff Clucks WormStop is a powdered feed supplement formulated for routine monthly use in backyard flocks. Its finely ground blend combines thyme, fennel seed, garlic, Mexican oregano, pumpkin seed, wormwood and black walnut hull in one convenient resealable pouch.
Instead of measuring several separate herbs, flock keepers can add one consistent serving to each bird’s food for seven consecutive days, then return to the flock’s normal feeding routine until the following month.
A culinary-grade blend made without antibiotics or chemical deworming drugs.
Mix the measured powder into dry feed, wet feed or a flock-favorite treat.
Serve for seven consecutive days once each month—WormStop is not intended as a daily, year-round supplement.
The manufacturer states that eggs may be consumed normally when the product is used as directed.
½ teaspoon per chicken, per day
Serve for 7 consecutive days once each month.
| Crude Protein | 19.3% minimum |
|---|---|
| Crude Fat | 6.1% minimum |
| Crude Fiber | 22.5% maximum |
| Moisture | 9.4% maximum |
8 oz (227 g) resealable pouch with approximately 150 individual bird servings.
Reseal after each use and store in a cool, dry location away from moisture and direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children and pets.
Give ½ teaspoon per chicken per day for seven consecutive days once each month. Follow the package label.
No. WormStop is designed as a seven-day monthly routine, not as a continuous daily supplement. After seven consecutive days, return to the flock’s normal diet until the next month.
Mix the measured amount thoroughly into dry feed, wet feed or a treat. Provide adequate feeder space and observe the flock so each bird receives its portion.
The manufacturer states that no egg withdrawal is required when WormStop is used according to its label. Consume eggs as usual unless your veterinarian advises otherwise.
No. WormStop is an herbal feed supplement. If worms are suspected, a fecal examination can identify whether parasites are present and help a veterinarian select an appropriate treatment. Seek veterinary care for weight loss, pale combs, diarrhea, blood in droppings, breathing problems, weakness or other significant symptoms.
Consult the current package label or Buff Clucks for species and life-stage directions. For young, ill, breeding or non-chicken poultry, consult a poultry veterinarian before use.
