Poly-Aid Plus is a sustained release carbohydrate and protein supplement with multivitamins and electrolytes and nine strain Probotic for sick or stressed birds. It is recommended in all birds with a calorie and/or protein deficit.

Directions: Add 5mL of fresh water to 10g of Poly-Aid Plus and make into a slurry. Make up fresh as required and discard unused solution. All avian species: Give 10g per 100g bodyweight per day in two divided doses, by crop needle or spoon. Other species: give to effect. Large level measure enclosed holds 12g.

Poly-Aid Plus remains the First Aid In a Bottle for birds. All sick birds should be given a dose of Poly-Aid Plus as they go into the hospital cage. Poly-Aid Plus provides a high energy, high protein supplement that is readily absorbed and utilised. This allows the birds to fight the disease or trauma that put them in the hospital cage initially. Poly-Aid Plus does not cure disease - it simply gives the birds some energy to fight for themselves. Poly-Aid Plus is also very beneficial in Ostriches during the first 3 weeks of life.

When mixing Poly-Aid Plus, add very small quantities of water to the desired amount of powder and mix well - continue to add drops of water until the mix is a thick custard consistency. Add to the feeding syringe by removing the plunger and spooning into the back of the barrel.

  1. Start with a clean waterer and one gallon of fresh water.
  2. Add one level teaspoon of AquaBoost.
  3. Stir or allow the powder to dissolve.
  4. Offer alongside a separate source of plain fresh water.
  5. Replace drinking water and clean the waterer daily.

How much AquaBoost do I mix into chicken water?

Add one teaspoon to each gallon of fresh water. Follow the current package label.

Should AquaBoost be the flock’s only water source?

No. The manufacturer directs flock keepers to offer AquaBoost water in addition to plain water. Chickens should always have unrestricted access to clean drinking water.

How often should I make fresh AquaBoost water?

Prepare fresh drinking water and clean the waterer daily. Discard dirty or contaminated water immediately.

Can AquaBoost be used during hot weather?

It may provide electrolyte support, but it does not replace shade, ventilation and plentiful cool water. A chicken showing severe heat stress, weakness, collapse or inability to drink requires urgent intervention and veterinary guidance.

Is AquaBoost a treatment for diarrhea or illness?

No. AquaBoost is a nutritional supplement, not a medication. Persistent diarrhea, lethargy, poor appetite, breathing difficulty or dehydration may require a poultry veterinarian and should not be managed with supplements alone.

Can it be used with medications?

Ask the prescribing veterinarian before combining any supplement with medication in drinking water. A supplement may change taste or water consumption, and some medications require precise administration in otherwise untreated water.
